Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family that been a resident of Atlanta. The story began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. At an early age, her father was interested in theatre. While a student at Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both in and outside of campus. He joined the Air Force in 1953. During his time working in Biloxi Mississippi was cast in an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the Air force. They got married in the year 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in 1957. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The family moved in 1960 and moved into Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning show for children, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The Actors and Writers Workshop was founded in 1964 and ran for 6 years. During this time they also had two youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
