Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her roles on House, a Fox medical series, House. Growing up in Wayne within a conservative Jewish tradition, she moved in New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in theatre at Tisch School of Arts. She was soon involved in the club scene, creating enough fuss that she caught the media's attention. In the end, she utilized her education and fame to compose and write a musical called Positive Me as well as to appear in it. Awake on the Wild Side was her next job. After the show ended, she started appearing in the film and television industry, initially in smaller roles. She gradually established her place as an actor.
